The New England Patriots dominated the Atlanta Falcons en route to winning 23-7 and Alec and Rich are unsure of where the time went. Both teams led long, clock-killing drives, yet only the Patriots wound up with any points. Give credit to the Patriots defense that is finally meeting the lofty expectations set prior to the season.
But there are still some warts with this team. They need to improve in the red zone on offense and they need to get healthy on defense, with Trey Flowers, Malcom Brown, Dont’a Hightower, and Stephon Gilmore all nicked up. But maybe that just opens the door for Deatrich Wise, Alan Branch, Kyle Van Noy, and Jonathan Bademosi to emerge as solid contributors for this Patriots defense.
While they must first play the Los Angeles Chargers, the Patriots have to be excited about their upcoming bye week.
